WBSC Oceania Hosts U15 and U23 Baseball World Cup Qualifiers

It was a big end to the year for WBSC Oceania with two successful regional baseball qualifiers. World No. 30 Guam hosted the WBSC U15 Baseball World Cup Oceania Qualifier from Friday, November 28 to Monday, December 1. The hosts competed for one spot in the WBSC World Cup with No. 11 Australia and No. 62 Northern Mariana Islands in a triple round-robin tournament.

The Aussies defeated Northern Mariana Islands 15-0, 17-2 and 25-3 and Guam 9-0, 13-5 and 23-0.

Northern Mariana Islands finished second by winning the three games against Guam: 24-5, 22-15 and 18-2.

Australia had the best pitching staff by far. They allowed only nine runs on 18 hits over six games, a 2.03 earned run average (ERA). They also had the best defence (six errors) and the best batting average (.471). Australia was the only team to go deep with five home runs.

Northern Mariana Islands showcased a respectable lineup, posting a team .345 batting average, but committed 28 defensive errors and allowed 58 earned runs, a 14.50 ERA. Read the full story HERE.

Earlier in November, Team Australia wrapped up the 2025 U23 Oceania Championships in style, winning both games on Sunday to complete a five-game sweep over Guam and officially qualify for the U23 World Cup in Nicaragua next year. Read the full recap HERE.
