Vanua Hoops is redefining youth development in Vanuatu. Developed by Mildred Izono under FIBA’s Women in Basketball Leadership Program, Vanua Hoops will use Basketball for Good to inspire and educate young people.

This distinguished award recognises an individual within our Oceania sporting community who has demonstrated exceptional commitment and is actively making a substantial contribution to advancing women and gender equality through sport.

The Pacific region has taken another significant step in advancing safer and more inclusive sport with the opening of the Third Regional Safeguarding Workshop, delivered through the Oceania Impact Network.

Held in Sydney from 11–20 December 2025, the camp brought  together up 45 athletes and coaches from 10 National Federations across Oceania.
