ITTF-Oceania Launches 2025-2028 Strategic Plan

ITTF-Oceania is pleased to release our new 2025-2028 Strategic Plan, which sets the agenda for the organisation over the next four years.

The Strategic Plan is based on the ITTF Strategic Plan, but amended where necessary to ensure it’s suited to Oceania’s unique needs and circumstances. The Strategic Plan covers three main pillars:

  • Governance & Sustainability – focusing on managing the organisation to the highest standard in a sustainable fashion.
  • Business Growth – focusing on building our Continental events and generating new revenue.
  • Society & Health – focusing on development activities and meeting the needs of our Member Associations.

For the first time, the ITTF-Oceania Strategic Plan is published in both English and French.

ITTF-Oceania President Anthony Moore commented, “we are delighted with our new Strategic Plan. ITTF is our closest and strongest partner so it makes sense to align with the ITTF Strategic Plan, while maintaining a localised flavour. We want to ensure that we service our Member Associations, while effectively contributing on the global stage and I believe our new Strategic Plan will enable this. I offer thanks to the ITTF-Oceania Management Committee, our Member Associations and all key stakeholders for their assistance in bringing this important piece of work to fruition.”

“ITTF commends ITTF-Oceania for this ambitious and well-crafted Strategic Plan, which aligns closely with ITTF’s global vision while addressing the unique needs of the Oceania region,” said ITTF President Petra Sörling. “This is a testament to the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to advancing table tennis at every level together. With clear goals in governance & sustainability, business growth, and societal impact, ITTF-Oceania is well-positioned to drive meaningful progress, support the Member Associations, and contribute significantly to our sport’s global development. We look forward to witnessing the positive outcomes this plan will bring to the region.”

Scott Houston, ITTF-Oceania CEO commented, “ITTF-Oceania has set a bold agenda to improve the level throughout Oceania and we are actively pursuing tangible outcomes to achieve this. There is an appetite amongst our Member Associations to take table tennis to a higher level and I look forward to this being realised in the years ahead. There is much work to be done if ITTF-Oceania is to capitalise on a ‘home’ Olympic/Paralympic Games in 2032; our new Strategic Plan will ensure that finite financial and operational resources are maximised, which will help enable this.”

ITTF CEO, Steve Dainton, praised the new ITTF-Oceania Strategic Plan, “as someone from the region and one of the first to work on Development for the Continent, it is pleasing to see the progress made in recent times. With a sparse geographic distance between the numerous Member Associations it means the complexities to develop the sport are enormous, but with the new strong team formed and the connection to the ITTF Strategic plan we are confident there will be further progress and success in the coming years to develop the sport in Oceania.”
