Following completion of the event, one boy and one girl have been selected to represent Oceania at the 2024 ITTF World Hopes Week in Paraguay – congratulations to Eli Ho (NZL) and Alice Xia (AUS).

Upon completion of the event, Massimo Costantini commented, “It was a very positive experience and it was great to see Tahiti attending this year in addition to Australia and New Zealand.”

“There was great collaboration between all coaches, with good exchanges of views around the game, technique and development. These are the things that can create a real legacy, with coaches now able to take these new skills and experience back to their country to continue working.”

“For the players, it was a chance to work and compete together and I appreciate their effort throughout the week. It was a really nice environment and I thank LOOPS Table Tennis and ITTF-Oceania for their good work.”

“Finally, it was fantastic to have two members of the ITTF My Gender My Strength Program, Hyojoo Lee from New Zealand and Harvi Yee from Fiji, in attendance. I’m sure this has assisted in their ongoing development as coaches.”

ITTF-Oceania CEO Scott Houston commented, “I thank all participating countries, players, coaches and their families for supporting the event. Thank you also to ITTF for their ongoing support of the ITTF-Oceania Hopes program and for providing Massimo Costantini, which was a real treat for all involved. Last but certainly not least thank you to LOOPS Table Tennis for hosting the event; they’re a professional club with family values and as always they went above and beyond to look after all aspects of organising the event.”
